Business Affairs and Consumer Protection
The Portage Park Chamber of Commerce is funded in part by a grant from the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer (BACP) through its Neighborhood Business Development Center Program. BACP ensures a fair and vibrant marketplace for both businesses and consumers; it also licenses business and public vehicles, provides business education and access to resources, enforces the Chicago Municipal Code, and protects consumers from fraud. Small Business Center (SBC)
The Chicago Small Business Center (SBC) is the business licensing and permitting division of the City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) and the City’s “one-stop-shop” for business licensing, public way use permitting and other resources to start and grow your business. Neighborhood Business Development Centers (NBDC) Program
The City of Chicago, Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP), provides hyper-local support to business owners and start-up entrepreneurs through the Neighborhood Business Development Centers (NBDC) grant program, which funds Chicago-based nonprofit business service organizations, located throughout the City, to provide free business development assistance.
